ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ 120 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದ ಹಳ್ಳಿ. ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯದ ಸಮೀಪದ ಹಳ್ಳಿ. ಅಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರು ನಡೆದಾಡಿದ ಹಳ್ಳಿ. ಹೆಸರು ರಾಮಕುಂಜ. ಬಹಳ ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರು ಕೇಳಿಯೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂಥ ಅಜ್ಞಾತವಾದೊಂದು ಕುಗ್ರಾಮ. ಇಂಥ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 1931 ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್ 27ರಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಥಾನಾಯಕನ ಜನನ. ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀ ಪಾದರನ್ನು ನಾಡಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಪುಣ್ಯ ಈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಮಕುಂಜಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಬೇಕು.

ತಂದೆ ನಾರಾಯಣಾಚಾರ್ಯ, ತಾಯಿ ಕಮಲಮ್ಮ. ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಗಂಡುಮಗುವಿಗೆ ‘ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ’ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟರು. ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ವೈಶಾಖ ಶುದ್ಧ ದಶಮಿ ಸೋಮವಾರದಂದು ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣನ ಶುಭ ಜನನ.

ರಾಮಕುಂಜದ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಎಲಿಮೆಂಟರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ. ಏಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲೇ ಗಾಯತ್ರಿಯ ಉಪದೇಶ. ವೇದಮಾತೆ ವಟುವಿನ ತುಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಲಿದಳು.

ಉಪನಯನಕ್ಕೂ ಮುಂಚೆ, ಹುಡುಗನಿಗಿನ್ನೂ ಆರು ವರ್ಷ. ಆಟವಾಡುವ ವಯಸ್ಸು. ತಂದೆ – ತಾಯಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಉಡುಪಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ತಂದರು. ಆಗ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಪರ್ಯಾಯವೇ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಮಠದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಗಮನಿಸಿದ. ಏನೋ ಒಂದು ಅಂತರಂಗದ ಸೆಳೆತ: ತಾನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣನನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಬಹುದೆ?

ತಂದೆ – ತಾಯಿ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳ ಭೇಟಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ. ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹುಡುಗನ ಮುಗ್ಧ ಮುಖ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ಭಕ್ತಿ ಭಾವ, ನಡೆಯ ಚುರುಕುತನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಏನನ್ನಿಸಿತೋ! ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೀಗೊಂದು ಮಾತು ಬಂತು. ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನಂತೆ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯಾಗುತ್ತೀಯಾ?’

ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದ: “ಹ್ಞೂ, ಆಗುತ್ತೇನೆ”

ಈ ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರೆರಿಸಿದ, ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತ ದೇವತೆಗಳು ‘ತಥಾsಸ್ತು’ ಎಂದರು.

ಪರ್ಯಾಯದ ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿಯಿತು. ಆಗಣ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು. ಪಯಣದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಪೆಯನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದರು. ವ್ಯಾಸತೀರ್ಥರ ತಪೋಭೂಮಿಯಾದ ಹಂಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಂಡಿತು. ಅವರು ವಿಳಂಬ ಮಾಡದೆ ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗಷ್ಟೇ ಉಪನೀತನಾಗಿದ್ದ ವಟು ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಜತೆ ಹಂಪೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದ.

ಬಹುಧಾನ್ಯ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಮಾರ್ಗಶಿರ ಶುದ್ಧ ಪಂಚಮಿಯಂದು (3.12.1938) ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣನಿಗೆ ಹಂಪೆಯ ಯಂತ್ರೋದ್ಧಾರ ಮುಖ್ಯಪ್ರಾಣನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ರಾಮಕುಂಜದ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಮುಗ್ಧ ಬಾಲಕ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಏಳರ ಬಾಲಾಪ್ಯದ ಹಸುಳೆ, ಅಧೋಕ್ಷಜ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ, ಪೇಜಾವರ ಮಠದ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ 32ನೆಯ ಯತಿಯಾಗಿ, ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರ ವೇದಾಂತ ಪೀಠವನ್ನೇರಿದ. ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ‘ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥ’ರಾದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದೈವೀ ಘಟನೆ ನೆಡೆಯಿತು.

ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಆಗ್ನ ಭಂಡಾರಕೇರಿ ಮಠಾಧೀಶರಾದ (ಮುಂದೆ ಫಲಿಮಾರು ಮಠಾಧೀಶರೂ ಆದ) ಶ್ರೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಉಡುಪಿಗೆ ಚಿತ್ತೈಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಮಾಧ್ವ ಯತಿಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಅಗ್ರಮಾನ್ಯ ಪಂಡಿತರೆಂದು ಖ್ಯಾತರಾದವರು. ಸ್ವತಃ ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಾಧಕರು. ಈ ಬಾಲ ಯತಿ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಯತಿಯ ಚುರುಕು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯ ಚಾಕಚಕ್ಯ ಯತಿಯ ಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು.

1943ರ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ತಿಂಗಳು. ಶ್ರೀವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಭಂಡಾರಕೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಧ್ವರಾದ್ಧಾಂತ ಸಂವರ್ಧಿನೀ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರ ಮೇಳವೇ ಭಂಡಾರಕೇರಿಗೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿತು. ಆ ಬಾರಿಯ ಮಧ್ವ ನವಮಿಯ ವಿದ್ವತ್ಸಭೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು 12ರ ಬಾಲಯತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ವಾಮನಮೂರ್ತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ತ್ರಿವಿಕ್ರಮಾವತಾರವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅಂದೇ ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ನಾಡಿನ ಉದ್ದಗಲದಿಂದ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರೆಲ್ಲ ಬಂದು ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಆ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಯತಿ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರು ನೀಡಿದ ಚುಟುಕು ಭಾಷಣ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಚುರುಕು ಮುಟ್ಟಿಸಿತು. ಇಡಿಯ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಸಭೆಯೇ ತಲೆದೂಗಿತು. ಜತೆಗೆ ಅವರು ಶಾರ್ದೂಲ ವಿಕ್ರೀಡಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಪದ್ಯವಂತೂ ಪಂಡಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆರಗುಗೊಳಿಸಿತು.

ಹೀಗೆ ಬೆಸೆದ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗಟ್ಟಿಗೊಂಡು ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಹಾನ್ ಯತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ಬೆಸೆಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಶ್ರೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಂತರು. ಭಂಡಾರಕೇರಿಯ ಗುರುಕುಲ ವಾಸ ಅವರ ಏಕಾಂತ ಚಿಂತನೆಗೆ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚರ್ಯದ ಪಾಲನೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಳವಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.

ಮಾಧ್ವ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅಗ್ರಮಾನ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಅಖಂಡವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಿತು.

ಎಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಿಚ್ಛಿನ್ನ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರು ತನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಧಾರೆಯೆರೆದರು. ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರು ವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ಪರ್ವತವೇ ಆದರು. ಬಹಳ ಜನಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಂದು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರ ಸಮಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಬಲ್ಲ ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿ ಇಡಿಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆಗ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರಿಗೆ, ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರಿಗೆ 20ರ ಹಸಿಹಸೀ ಹರೆಯ. 1951ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಜನಗೂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಮತ್ರಯ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಎಲ್ಲ ಪಂಡಿತರ ಒಮ್ಮತದಿಂದ ಆ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಹೊಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಹರೆಯದ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಆ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಣ ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ದಿ. ಜಯಚಾಮರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಒಡೆಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ತರುಣ ಯತಿಯ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿತೆಗೆ, ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿದ ಒಡೆಯರು ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರನ್ನು ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದರು.

1952 ಜನವರಿ 18ರಂದು, 21ರ ಹರೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಪೀಠಾರೋಹಣ, ಅನ್ನದಾನ – ಜ್ಞಾನದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಟಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ. ಪರ್ಯಾಯದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಮಾಧ್ವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಂಘಟನೆಗೆ ನಾಂದಿ ಹಾಡಿದ ಮಾಧ್ವ ತತ್ವಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ,

1956 ಜುಲೈ 28, ಟೀಕಾಚಾರ್ಯರ ಪುಣ್ಯದಿನದಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ವಿದ್ಯಾಪೀಠದ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ. 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಿರಂತರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಾಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸುವ ಗುರುಕುಲದ ಮಾದರಿಯ ನಾಡಿನ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ. ಈ 56 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹರವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತು ಹೊರಬಂದ ಖ್ಯಾತ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು ನೂರಾರು ಮಂದಿ.

ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ತರುಣ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಉತ್ತುಂಗ ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಕಿರೀಟಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಗರಿ. ಚಿನ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಪು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ. ‘ಹೆಮ್ನಃ ಪರಮಾಮೋದಃ.’

1961, ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರಿಗೆ 30 ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದಿಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಯಾಗದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ. ಗುರು ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಈ ಯಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಜವಾಗಿಯೇ ಶಿಷ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ ತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಯಾಗದಲ್ಲೊಂದು ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಸಭೆ. ಕಾಶಿಯ ಪ್ರಖಾಂಡ ಪಂಡಿತ ಷಡಂಗ ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಆ ಸಭೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಒಂದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನಿಟ್ಟರು. ತರ್ಕಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಜಟಿಲವಾದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ. ಪಂಡಿತರೆಲ್ಲ ಉತ್ತರ ಕಾಣದೆ ತತ್ತರಿಸಿದರು. ಉತ್ತರ ಸಿಗದೆ ಆ ದಿನ ಸಂದಿತು. ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ತನಗೆ ಸಾಟಿಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಬೀಗಿದರು. ಆ ಹಮ್ಮಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಮಾರನೆಯ ದಿನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದರು. ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಷಡಂಗರಿಗೆ ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಅವರು ತೆಪ್ಪಗೆ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಕಾಲಿಗೆರಗಿದರು.

1965ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಯ ಮಹಾರಾಜರ ಭೇಟಿ. ಮಹಾರಾಜರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು. ನ್ಯಾಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪರಿಣತರು. ಅವರು ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರನ್ನು ವಾಕ್ಯಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಮೊದಲು ನ್ಯಾಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ. ಅನಂತರ ದ್ವೈತಾದ್ವೈತ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಸಮರ್ಥನೆಗೆ ಮಹಾರಾಜರು ಮನಸೋತರು. ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶೀಪಾದರನ್ನು ವೈಭವದಿಂದ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ ಕಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

1966ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಶಿಯಲ್ಲೊಂದು ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಸಭೆ. ಕಾಶಿ ತರ್ಕಪಂಡಿತರ ತವರೂರು. ಇಡಿಯ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಖ್ಯಾತರಾದ ಮಹಾನ್ ಅದ್ವೈತ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸ ಅನಂತಕೃಷ್ಣ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು, ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಖ್ಯಾತಿಯ ಮಹಾ ತರ್ಕ ಪಂಡಿತ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ದ್ರಾವಿಡ ಮುಂತಾದ ದಿಗ್ಗಜರೊಡನೆ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಾರ್ಥ ಚರ್ಚೆ. ಸೋಲರಿಯದ ಪಂಡಿತರು, ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯರು. ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಉಡುಪಿಯಿಂದ ಬಂದ 35ರ ತರುಣ ಯತಿ.

ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರ ತಲೆ ಕೆಳಗಾಯಿತು. ತಮ್ಮ ಭದ್ರಕೋಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ದಿಗ್ಗಜಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಈ ತರುಣ ಯತಿ ಸಿಂಹದ ಮುಂದೆ ಮಾತು ಮೂಕವಾಗಿ ತಲೆ ಬಾಗಿಸಿದರು. ಇದು ಒಂದೆರಡು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯಷ್ಟೇ. ಇತರ ಮತದ ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರು, ಯತಿಗಳು ಕೂಡಾ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ಅವರ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ವಿಜಯಮಾಲೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿ ಸತ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಪುಣೆ – ಪ್ರಯಾಗ ಮುಂತಾದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಡೆಯೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಸಭೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರಿಗೇ ಜಯಭೇರಿ.

1968 ಜನವರಿ 18ರಿಂದ, 1970 ಜನವರಿ 17ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಪೂಜಾ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ. ಮೊದಲ ಪರ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಮೀರಿ ನಿಂತ ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ. ಕಲಾವಿದರ, ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸರ ಮನಸೂರೆಗೊಂಡ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ.

ಈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲೇ, ಪರ್ಯಾಯೋತ್ಸವದ ಸಂಭ್ರಮದಲ್ಲೇ, ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಗೀತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ನೀಡಿದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಲಿಕೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂತು: ‘ಗೀತಾ ಸಾರೋದ್ಧಾರ.’

ಈ ಪರ್ಯಾಯದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲೇ 1968 ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 18ರಂದು ಉಡುಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಉಚಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾಲಯದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ. ಬಡ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೊಂದು ವರದಾನ. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಕಳಕಳಿಗೊಂದು ಅನನ್ಯ ನಿದರ್ಶನ. ಈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಉಡುಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಹಿಂದೂ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಮಹಾಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಜನಸಾಗರವವೇ ಉಡುಪಿಯತ್ತ ಹರಿದುಬಂತು. ‘ಹಿಂದೂಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಬಂಧುಭಾವದಿಂದ ಬದುಕಬೇಕು’ ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಈ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರನ್ನು ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಅಸ್ಪೃಶ್ಯತೆ. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅಸ್ಪೃಶ್ಯರೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ದೂರವಿಡುವುದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಅವರ ಒಳಮನಸ್ಸು ಸಿಡಿದೇಳುತ್ತಲೇ ಇತ್ತು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯ ವಿಚಾರಧಾರೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಾಢವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಬೀರಿತು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ, ಮಠದ ಯತಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸವಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟೆ ಪೀತಾಂಬರಗಳ ವೈಭವದ ಪೋಷಾಕನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ಶುದ್ಧ ಖಾದಿಧಾರಿಯಾಗುವ ದೀಕ್ಷೆ ತೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ಅಡುಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯನ್ನು ರದ್ದುಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬಡಿಸುವ ಅಡುಗೆಯನ್ನೇ ತಾನೂ ಉಂಡರು. ವೈಭವದ ಉತ್ತುಂಗ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಳತೆಯ ಸಾಕಾರ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು.

ಜಾತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಕಿಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಿತು. 13ನೆಯ ಶತಮಾನದಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಅಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರು ಸಾರಿದ್ದರು

‘ಯೋನಿಭೇದಕೃತೋ ಭೇದೋ
ಜ್ಞೇಯ ಔಷಾಧಿಕಸ್ತ್ವಯಮ್!’

ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿಯ ಜಾತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಗನ ಜಾತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಮಾತ್ರ. ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮದ ಸಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗುವುದು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಸ್ವಭಾವಗುಣ ಮಾತ್ರ. ಜಾತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂದ್ರನ ಮಗ ಸ್ವಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನಿರಬಹುದು, ಜಾತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನ ಮಗ ಸ್ವಭಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂದ್ರನಿರಬಹುದು.

ಅಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಧ್ವರ ಈ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಢವಾಗಿ ಬೇರೂರಿತು. ಏಳು ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸಾರಿದ ಈ ಸಂದೇಶ ಇವತ್ತಿಗೂ ಬರಿಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಮಾತಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ.

ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಂಡಾಯವೇಳುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟಿನ ದಿಗ್ಬಂಧನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡಭಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮಡುಗಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಈ ಭಯವೇ!

40 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದ್ದರೆ ಏನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದ್ಭುತವನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಸನಾತನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಿಚಾರವಾದಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿ ಒಂದು ಅಧ್ಬುತ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನೇ ಹೊಲೆಗೆಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

40 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಮೊದಲು ಹರಿಜನ ಕೇರಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಬಂದ ಟೀಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೊಂದ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಅಂದು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಈಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಣರಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಬನ್ನಂಜೆ ಗೋವಿಂದಾಚಾರ್ಯರು –

“ತಪ್ಪು ಅರ್ಥ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಯನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ನೋವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಮುಂದುವರಿದರ ನಾನು ಪೀಠ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿ, ಬಿಡಿ ಸನ್ಯಾಸಿಯಾಗಿ ಬದುಕುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹರಿದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲೋ ಹೃಷಿಕೇಶದಲ್ಲೋ ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಗುಡಿಸಲು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಇದ್ದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.”

ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಗೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಶೀಪಾದರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಮಾನ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. ‘ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೆಲಸ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ದಲಿತರಿಗೂ ಹರಿಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದಿರಿ. ಇದು ಪುಣ್ಯದ ಕೆಲಸ’ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಹರಸಿ ಸಂತೈಸಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಹೀಗೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ಯತಿ ಧರ್ಮದ ಯಾವ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನೂ ಕೈ ಬಿಟ್ಟವರಲ್ಲ. ಅಖಂಡವಾದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಚರ್ಯೆ, ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಪ್ರಣವ ಜಪ, ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳ ಪೂಜೆ, ವಿದಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವೇದಾಂತ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳ ಪಾಠ ಪ್ರವಚನ – ಇವು ಅವರ ಜೀವನದ ಅವಿಭಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗಗಳಾಗಿ ನಿರಂತರ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿವೆ.

ಅವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಓಡಾಟದ ನಡುವೆ 1978ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಪೀಠದ ರಜತೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ನಿಂತು ವೈಭದಿಂದ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.

ಇದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಂಧ್ರದ ಚಂಡಮಾರುತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಂಸಲದೀವಿಯ ಜನ ಮನೆ – ಮಾರು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೀದಿಪಾಲಾದರು. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಹೃದಯ ಕರಗಿತು. ಅವರು ಹಂಸಲದೀವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಠದ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ 150 ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದರು. ಮನೆ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೆ ಆಸರೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು. 26-7-1978ರಂದು ಅವುಗಳ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯಾಗಿ ಮನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವರು ‘ಮನೆವಂತ’ರಾದರು.

ಕಳೆದ ಬಾರಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆ ಹಾವಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತರು. ಆಗಲೂ ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯಾದವರ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ನಿಂತರು. ಪೀಠಾಧಿಪತಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕವಾಗಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು. ‘ವ್ಯಸನೇಷು ಮನುಷ್ಯಾಣಾಂ ಭೃಶಂ ಭವತಿ ದುಃಖಿತಃ’ ಎಂದು ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ವಚನಕ್ಕೆ ತಾನೇ ನಿದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು. ಕೃಶವಾದ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಕರಗುವ ಹೃದಯ; ಜತೆಗೆ ಎಂದೂ ಕರಗದ ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ.

ತನ್ನ ಮೂರನೆಯ ಪರ್ಯಾಯದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಂಜಾನ್ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ರಾಜಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಸರ್ವಧರ್ಮ ಸಮಭಾವಕ್ಕೆ ಮೇಲ್ಪಂಕ್ತಿ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು.

ಪೇಜಾವರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತ ಹೋದರೆ ಅದೊಂದು ಮುಗಿಯದ ಕಥೆ. ಒಂದು ಪುಟ್ಟ ಲೇಖನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದು ಮುಗಿಸುವಂಥದ್ದಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ಬೃಹತ್ ಸಂಪುಟವೇ ಬೇಕು. ಆದರೂ ಅವರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಭೌಮದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ನಿದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಸಾಕು. ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಪರಿಚಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಬೊಗಸೆ ನೀರು. ಇಡಿಯ ಕಡಲನ್ನೇ ಬೊಗಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಹೀರುವ ಅಗಸ್ತ್ಯರು ನಾವಾಗಲಾರೆವು.

ಮೊನ್ನೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣಾಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ 150ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿಯ ಆಚರಣೆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ‘ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಸಂಮಿಲನ’ದ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದರ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಮೈನವಿರೇಳುವಂತಿತ್ತು. ಅಂತಹ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯ, ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ, ಕಾಳಜಿ, ನೇರ ಪ್ರತಿಸ್ಪಂದನೆ ಈ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರನ್ನು ಕಂಡ, ಅವರು ಮೇರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಗರಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾದ ಸರಳತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮಗುವಿನಂಥ ಮುಗ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ವಿಸ್ಮಯಗೊಂಡ ಜನತೆಯ ಬಯಕೆ ಒಂದೆ; ಪೇಜಾವರಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ನೂರು ಕಾಲ ನಮ್ಮ ಜತೆಗಿರಬೇಕು. ನೂರು ಕಾಲ ಅಂದರೆ ಬರಿಯ ನೂರು ಕಾಲ ಅಲ್ಲ. ವಾದಿರಾಜರಂತೆ 120 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಜತೆಗಿದ್ದು ನಮಗೆ ದಾರಿ ತೋರುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು...

ಕಲ್ಲತ್ತಗಿರಿ ಜಲಪಾತ...:

ಬೆಳಕಲ್ಲೂ ಕಪ್ಪಾದಂಥ ದಟ್ಟ ಕಾಡು, ಚುಮು ಚುಮು ಚಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಸೂರ‌್ಯನ ಕಿರಣಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಲಿ ಅಂತ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತೀರ. ಆದರೂ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸೌಂದರ‌್ಯದ ನಡುವೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಗರಿಗೆದರಬೇಕು ಅಂತಾದ್ರೆ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ತರೀಕೆರೆಯ ಕಲ್ಲತ್ತಗಿರಿ ಜಲಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿ.



ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಹಂಬಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಫಾಲ್ಸ್, ಟ್ರಕ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಎಂದರೆ ಪ್ರಾಣ. ಈ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ವಿಷಯ ತೆಗೆದರೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾ ಜಟಾಪಟಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆ ಕಥೆಯೂ ಇದೆ ಆದರೆ ಕಲ್ಲತ್ತಗಿರಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಸ್ಥಳ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ದೇವರ ದರುಶನ ಸಾಧ್ಯ, ಜಲಧಾರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಂದೇಳುವ ಸಂಭ್ರಮವೂ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಚಾರಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಹಂಬಲವಿದ್ದರೆ ಗುಡ್ಡವನ್ನು ಏರಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ವಿಹಂಗಮ ನೋಟ ಸವಿಯಬಹುದು.



ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಹರಿಯುವ ಜಲಧಾರೆ ಅದೆಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆಯೋ?ಕಾಡುಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಹರಿದು ಬರುತ್ತದಾದರಿಂದ ಚಾರಣ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲಧಾರೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಲ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟವಾಡಲು ಅನುಕೂಲ. ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಜತೆಗೂಡಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದರೆ ಮಜವೋ ಮಜಾ.



ಟ್ರೆಕ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಮಜಾ


ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಫಿ ತೋಟದ ಕಿರಿದಾದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರ ಕ್ರಮಿಸಿದರೆ ಜಲಧಾರೆ ಕಾಣಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಡೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಜಾ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಕಾಫಿ ತೋಟದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗುವ ಆ ಅನುಭವವೇ ಬೇರೆ. ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹೋದರಂತೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಖುಷಿಗೆ ಪಾರವಿಲ್ಲ. ತುಂಟಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತ ಕಿರುಚುತ್ತಾ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಆಯಾಸದ ಪರಿವೆ ನಿಮಗಾಗದು. ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ದೂರ ಕ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ತೋಟ ಮುಗಿದು ಕಾಡು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ನವಿಲ ನರ್ತನ, ಜಿಂಕೆಯ ಓಟ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವ ಮುಂಚೆ ಹೊರಟರೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ.



ಜಲಪಾತದ ಸ್ಥಳವಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಜತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವುದನ್ನು ಮರೆಯದಿರಿ. ಟ್ರೆಕ್ಕಿಂಗ್‌ಗೆ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಯದೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ. ಪ್ರಥಮ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್‌ನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲು ಮರೆಯದಿರಿ.


ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಸಮಯ


ಮಳೆಗಾಲ ಮತ್ತು ಚಳಿಗಾಲ ಈ ಜಲಧಾರೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಲು ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಮಯ. ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಿ ಚಾರಣದ ಅನುಭವ ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್, ನವೆಂಬರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ನೀರು ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಜಲಪಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟವಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ಚಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಅನುಕೂಲ. ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಜೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಜಲಪಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದು ಸಂಜೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ 10 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆಮ್ಮಣ್ಣುಗುಂಡಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಸೂರ‌್ಯಾಸ್ಥ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು.

ಮಾರ್ಗ


ಈ ಜಲಪಾತ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಿಂದ 55 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸಿದರೆ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ತರೀಕೆರೆ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಆಟೋ ಅಥವಾ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ವಾಹನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಜಲಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಿಸಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮದೇ ಸ್ವಂತ ಅಥವಾ ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ವಾಹನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸಿದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು.


ಆಹಾರ


ತರೀಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಊಟ, ತಿಂಡಿಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಜಲಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ. ಸಣ್ಣ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಗೂಡಂಗಡಿಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಊಟದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ತರೀಕೆರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ವಸತಿ


ಕೆಮ್ಮಣಗುಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕಾ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವಸತಿ ಗೃಹವಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಬುಕ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ತರೀಕೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಂಗಬಹುದು.

Kallathi Falls


Kallathi falls is about 10 km. from

Kemmangundi. On the road from Kemmangundi to Tarikere, a deviation takes one to Kallathi falls. It is also known as Kallathigiri falls and Kalahasthi falls. Water cascades from a height of 122 metres and the temple here is attributed to times of the Vijayanagar empire. According to a local legend, this place is associated with the Hindu sage, Agastya


Kalhatti Falls or Kalahasti Falls is located at Kallattipura in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. The waterfall is only 10 kilometers away from Kemmangundi hill station. It offers an excellent view of the cascading water from the Chandra Drona Hill from 122 meters (400 ft) above in front of the Veerabhadreshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.



The Legend
Legends say that sage Agastya had prayed for a long time in this place.The Veerabhadra temple is supposed to be built in the Vijayanagar times. The temple is with three stone carvings of three elephants at the entrance. Water cascade water over these elephants and devotees believes that these waters have the power to cure diseases.



An annual fair of Lord Veerabhadra is held here for three day during March/April which attracts pilgrims from many parts of the state.



Its also hot spot among the trekkers who carry out their trekking exercises on the adjoining hills and mountains. Trekkers climbing along the mountainous terrains enjoy the picturesque view. With base in Tarikere which is 35 km from Kemmangundi, trekkers climb the hill slopes to enjoy the panoramic view of the verdant valleys below.

How to get there: Birur is a junction well connected on the Bangalore-Shimoga, Bangalore-Kolhapur, Bangalore-Hubli or Yeshwantpur-Vasco routes. The Shimoga Express leaves Bangalore at 2310 and reaches Birur at an unearthly hour of 0315. Buses from Birur towards Lingadahalli are at 0545, 0630 and quite regularly after that. These buses take about 30 mins. You can hire private vehicles to take you till Kalhattigiri (another 30 min. ride on road)from where you can begin the trek.

The water at this place has been eternal - it has never dried up.

This place is enroute to hosa nagara from Theerthahalli.

FLWOR stands for ‘For, Let, Where, Order By and Return’ which is an XQuery feature that allows you to perform complex operations on an XML document. The FLWOR operation allows you to iterate over the elements/attributes of an XML document and extract specific information from it or generate a completely new XML document.

How do you solve performance problems with XML operations

There are no ‘correct’ answers to generic performance questions. A proper solution can be suggested only after examining the specific use case and environment.  However, a few recommendations are as follows:

If you are dealing with UNTYPED XML, try to convert them to TYPED XML. When using TYPED XML values, SQL Server has got better understanding of the structure of the XML document, data types of elements and attributes etc.  This allows SQL Server to process the XML document more efficiently.
