MTS, the mobile telephony brand of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd. (SSTL), launched its service in Karnataka on Wednesday. The brand, which has been franchised to the company by the Russian conglomerate, Sistema, is the ninth operator to offer mobile telephony services in the State. SSTL is a joint venture between Sistema, Russia, and the Shyam Group, an Indian company that provides mobile telephony solutions.
Karnataka is the eighth circle in which MTS is operational.
